We are looking good for the 2011 season. Being a little 1.6l motor and a steep windshield angle we will try to hold our own at Daytona and Homestead. After that the team is really looking forward to getting to Barber and the rest of the more traditional road circuits where the Mini aspect of our car can shine. Felt good to bring home quick time to Texas for the Mini's!!! I usually update my facebook if anyone is interested in getting updates. J

How are lap times so different in the practice sessions?

Some sessions had different drivers in the car as well as:
Day 1 we were breaking in new cars and engines and such.
Day 2 we were working on data, suspension settings and brake combination's.
Day 3 we made a few more changes and bolted on new tires.
Also all the cars Rolex/Conti were putting down more and more rubber which made the track faster throughout the weekend.

It would be nice if they would go ahead and put the info on the driver page, they have only had it for 2 months now. Are you still loving the GT3RS, not missing the Turbo? J

Seriously..with all the car shops and such on here there needs to be a forum Chumpcar. There are 5 races pretty close to DFW (ECR, Hallett, Belle Rose, and 2 at TWS). Chump Change for guys with profile pictures like you...LOL! This needs to happen, who has a donor car? I may have a line on a old TDI Golf for free...just needs a mechanic and the safety stuff. Integra's do rule though...and 318-325 BMW's. Where is Autoscope, Jotech and the like on this situation?

Are we gonna have to set fastest lap with our 108whp civic again against the B18(?) integra?

I need to get a dyno on the Integra...although I bet no one would believe it. My guess is not much, stock showroom is 140...if it put out 108 I would be shocked. The old girl is getting slower each time, I predict visible rods within the next few outings, LOL. Tons of fun though, until Steve is done with personal matters it is parked so I am poking around for something to drive in the mean time. Oh yeah...I will take winning over lap time every day of the week and twice on Sunday!!! :fight: hehe. Chumpcar is some of the most fun I have had in the racing world. Seeing non-ABS, ill handling crap cans lock up all four on corner entry lap after lap gets my funny bone bad :hahaha:. Also, the fact that all you need is safety gear and car on the trailer to enter means that it brings in tons of people who otherwise might not ever experience this awesome sport.

Meh, I'll take what I can get. I'd be thrilled if we could spend 75% of the time on track. At Lemons Houston we blew a tranny 30 minutes in, was the beginning of a miserable weekend. We'll be doing ChumpCar this year, we need to get the car running though. We've had enough of the Lemons 'circus'.
No one believed our dyno, one of the lemons judges said 220whp.

A big ten dash four on the Lemon's Circus, I like to call it a Renaissance Fair with cars on track...Chumpcar is the way to go for sure. Basically a NASA or SCCA endurance race with otherwise junk cars. Great organizer and people with Chumpcar as well. Hope to see you out there, J

A bump to thread for our resident Grand Am driver. Good luck on Friday at race.
