I have not met with the APEX guys about upcoming DFWac events yet in detail, only to get the schedule of dates that we could grab 15-30 spots.

If we can chose a few dates early enough, they can set aside run groups for us and we will benifit by having lower event cost.

Here are the dates, let's discuss and see if we want to pick 2 -3 dates now... and a few more later on.

Sunday March 6th - 1.3 CCW
Monday June 6th - 3.1 CCW ( Advanced only no newbies )
Sunday July 10th 1.7 CW
Saturday Oct 16th 1.3 CCW
Monday Nov 7th 3.1 CCW ( Advanced only )
Saturday Dec 10th 1.7 CCW

Pricing would range from $185 - $200 per driver as in the past , maybe getting Autoscope or other vendors help to bring the pricing down and/or buying lunch...

Thoughts?

Steve

Just pick a date. You can't accomodate everyone's time. Even mine. Not a fan of the 1.3 alone though.

March or June... the new kid will be here in July, so probably won't be much tracking after that :)

The 1.3 mile course configuration. Basically the 1.7 is the "old" course. There's an extension to make it a full 3.1 mi. You can also run the extension part by itself in a 1.3mi loop (this can run concurrently with the 1.7).

FYI, Apex has published their event list and opened registration for the Mar 6 event. http://apexdrivingacademy.com/schedule.htm

Steve, I registered with Apex so that I can get some seat time with an instructor. I enjoyed your run group last time, but I'd like an instructor for the 1.3 b/c I'm pretty weak on it.

whats the 1.3 mean? <--- noob

I'm up for either 3.1 event, will definitely make the Nov one schedule permitting.

I can make almost any weekend. I don't know if I will do the 1.3, however.

Isn't 1.7 CCW better than CW? Why not more CCW? Anyways, I'd like to do another one. Maybe March or July would be rookie friendly enough for me to participate.

I don't think the 1.7 is better CCW or CW, it is just run CW much less frequently so that might be why there is interest in that config. I'm in for a 3.1 session and would run a 1.7 CW session, but July 10th is going to be hot!

The CW is definitely faster... not to mention it is always good to do CW to even up the wear on your tires :)

It's "bend". Anyway, I'm going to be running the 3.1 MSR at the Driver's Edge event on February 19/20th if anyway wants to join me! Should be a good track weekend.

I agree, I like Horseshoe and Rattle Snake CW much better.

:) I could see one typo, but when you typed 'ben' twice, I figured that is what you thought it was called, hence the correction. That, or you have a fixation on the clock in London or the Steelers QB. :D

Big Ben in Ol'e London town is cool...as for "rustyburger" of the Pit-diggers...err Steelers well:thumpdown: But thanks for the correction as obviously I didn't spell it correctly.

I def agree with this, there's some pretty fun lines that you can take through there...

But I *hate* the curtains coming off of Buzzard neck; it's spin city there.
