Anyone interested in entering your car in the Home Depot Annual Spring Car Show (http://www.cowtownvettes.org/images/Flyers/2009/Home%20Depot%20Car%20Show.pdf) this Saturday 4/25 that benefits Operation Kindness (http://www.operationkindness.org), a local animal rescue group? Entry fee is only $10 and all proceeds benefit the rescue group. The Home Depot in Plano at 121 and Ohio is hosting the event. I was thinking about entering my green MZ3, but the only place I found the show flyer was at the cash registers in the store and online at local muscle car web sites, so I think my little green monster might feel a bit out of place. But hey, they have several categories for the show and mine fits in the 1980 and newer section! :)

If nobody is interested in showing their car, perhaps we can get a group together and head over there this Saturday around lunchtime after our normal meet at Park/Tollway.

Karen,

How was the show? Lots of cars? Types?

I had too many irons in the fire that day but sounded like fun....

Hi Jack! I had too many irons in the fire, too, so I didn't enter my car, but I did stop by the show for a short visit. Pat Arnold was entered in the show with a VERY nice Austin Healey and there were some nice Bel Airs represented, but all in all, the turnout was very small. Home Depot and Operation Kindness really didn't do a good job of promoting the event beforehand. It wasn't listed in the Operation Kindness event calendar on their web site and there was nothing on the Home Depot web site about it either. I only found hard copy flyers in Home Depot at the cash registers. Then I noticed some of those flyers online on some muscle car web sites, but that was it. So in the end, you didn't miss much.
