First off, this is not related to the RKC kid fest. Some of us that like to meet on Monday nights, but don't want the riff-raff, are thinking of meeting up at Papa's BBQ on NW Highway. Good Parking, covered outdoor seating and car friendly.
If a smaller type of "meet", with a more mature group of cars/owners interests you...
This could easily be another version of the Saturday morning meet...but on Monday night.

It's gonna be hard to compete with the "other" crowd. You know they'll give you a VIP parking spot over there right?

I'm not wanting to compete with anything. I just like hanging out with/around around other nice cars/owners, without the riff-raff. And as far as "VIP". That's like saying VIP and Honda in the same sentance regarding that other meet.

My vote should not count for much as weeknight gatherings are hard for me to make, but if I did get a chance to come out, I would highly prefer an event other than RKC.
Where is Papa's BBQ?

Hollywood have you seen their new setup at Randal Reed? It's a pretty good gig. I know what you're saying about the Riff-Raff, I feel like one of the older people when I do go out there. However, some of the nicer DFW cars have been going out there and are parked away from the crap. In fact they aren't letting a bunch of the crap in anymore. Ask Mark about it, he went Monday.

It's still in Mesquite. I don't care if it's in the showroom of some swanky joint, it's still in Mesquite.
Plus a "meet" with thousands of people is really unmanageable and not really a meet anymore but a waste of time.

I have not made it to one of the RKC monday meets due to all the kids. I know what you mean about feeling like the older people there. :hahaha:
I would be interested in getting out on a weeknight.

I have not been since late last year when they had it at BJ's, and it was a pain in the ass. There were a few decent cars and a few decent people, but mostly it was overrun with young punks thinking they have something to prove with a piece of jail bait glued to their arm.

Some of those jailbaits were :thumbsup2:
That was the last time I went to a RKC meet as well.

I would make the trip out to Papa's. Sometimes its nice to not have to deal with all those people!

I don't really like the RKC meets. Don't feel safe leaving my car so I can't have fun and don't want to drive down to Mesquite. And Will really...some of the nicer DFW cars?
Some nice cars do show up but most of the guys I know won't go to the meets because they don't feel their cars are safe. Evenings during the week are hard with 2 kids so I couldn't go anywhere till about 8:30.

I guess you have a point in the greater scheme of things, there's probably a lot nicer cars in the greater DFW area, but seeing an SLR and a RUF Porsche and some other rare stuff out there is kinda cool.

Those cars are only there because of the lying and hype by Jared. They will likely not return, as with most of the higher end cars that are dupped into attending.

I boycotted the RKC meet the minute Jared claimed there were over 550+ cars at his meet several weeks back, lol

i propose a sunday night meet, monday are hard to make it to, and imo sunday nights are perfect.
we've had good turnouts at our sunday meets off macarthur and 635, more "mature" crowd so to say, but not the "im better then you mature"
usually just hang out and see who all is in the mood for what and grab some food afterwards.
