I got to re-do the clearbra on Mike's (Qship5) C63 this last week. Tricky job with it being black, & all the hard angles that Mercedes seems to like, but it came out beautifully!

Very nice, wish you were around when I referred Mike to the shop that did this the first time. The film was unfortunately very flawed. :(

Norm's work on my car is great to say the least. :thumbsup2: In addition to full hood, fenders and bumper, Norm covered the painted grille with film so it will still look great a year from now.

Unfortunately we ended up finding some places where the previous installer cut the paint when triming around, rather than removing the emblems, etc. :( By removing emblems, grilles, side marker lights, etc to apply film rather than cutting around them, Norm proves that great service and attention to detail really does separate the great from the average!

Thanks guys!

It's always nice to be able to show a direct comparison between one installation & mine. I believe that anyone 'can' do a great job, but most installers are either going for a faster installation, or maybe they don't have the experience, but probably they just don't have OCD like me! haha...

LOL, I was actually thinking I should have gotten that F1 saftey car bumper they have...That thing really looks sweet and makes the car look that much more menacing.

I can always get the vented CF hood when Avery finally releases the 60" film rather than having Norm recover the stock hood with the Avery film.

I bugged them today again about the 60". 60 days is the latest story.. ahem.

We will see, but there are some behind the scenes stuff that was making it take a while, & they have solved some problems in the production line, so I think we really are getting a lot closer now.

I saw Mike's car on Saturday. It does look great.

On another note, under the heading of "old guy asleep at the wheel"; I read the strange spam post and reported it, then noticed that the following posts had a field day with it and then noticed that the dude or dudette had been banned. Aren't those things usually deleted? This one is strange enough to get some amusement out of I guess.

so does this mean when it comes time to do my hood, you'll have the 60" available? was the c63 hood too big?

I'm still waiting for the 60". Last I heard, it should be available June or July. We will see if they finally come through.

60" is just big enough to do the C63 hood. I used 60" Venture to do Mike's hood.
