View Full Version : Anyone know of an S7 in DFW?

Just curious, I have only seen one at a car show awhile back and it was behind a velvet rope. From the cars I have seen in DFW I don't imagine an S7 being too much more exotic.

I have seen a couple different ones at the Lambo/Saleen Dealer here.. Staggering performance out of the TT one, that's for sure

Man those cars are wicked, never seen one on the road.

I saw a yellow one about three months ago. The guy was driving down the road that goes north past the W hotel. He kept hammering the pedal and getting the rear end going side to side.

That's all I know, so I guess its not too useful.

I have seen them and drooled on a couple at lambo dallas.. they are something to behold.. awesome engineering and workmanship. I have seen a guy driving a yellow one over near my hood (willow bend), but don't know who he was.

I saw a yellow one on Parker Road in that area too.

A guy I know has one (white).....and a Carrera GT (yellow), Ford GT, and a few others. He had the S7 and Carrera GT at the Ferrari show (also included Porsche class) at Boardwalk last year. He's a nice guy and a friend and I was kinda embarrassed when his C GT won 2nd place to my silver '55 356. I sheepishly accepted the trophy and got the hey outta there.

My step brother owned one until recently. It was just as beautiful on the inside as it was on the outside. Saleen flew him out to California to be custom fitted for the car. After it was built he got driving lessons from Steve.

... I dragged his ass all up and down the tollway with my little Ford.

No way?! Dude, give us some details!

It was a metalic red (really close to my Cadillac red). The interior instrument panel was designed by Breitling. So anyway, we leave his house and stop by the gas station. It was the first time my car didn't get all the attention at the pump :( . Then we slide out on the Mexican Tollway. We drove for about 10 miles just letting everything warmup. The looks on peoples faces was awesome. A kid in the back would see one car coming and his head would spin around then Dad would point at the other supercar... and mom would finally crane her neck around to see us. By that time were flying past 'em.

We did our first roll from about 60mph. I figure he would walk me but not to bad. I was making 600hp in my little Ford. All I could hear was the engine trying to explode behind me and the Supercharger screaming like a banshee, I've got my knuckles all white on the steering wheel and wouldn't have been a bit shocked it the gas peddle had broken under my foot. I looked to my right... he's not there but he's not in front of me either No mater what happens after that, I beat an S7 and I can talk all the **** I want. Three more roll ons from 60.... same thing every time. Life was sweet.

Then we did a race from light to light. Apparently the 2200lbs car has more advantage there... he kicked my ass. Then he challenged me to run through some polls in a parking lot.... at 50mph the S7 can turn at 90 degrees, my GT just kinda goes straight.

There is a white S7 valet at the West Village right now. No chance of figuring out who's it is.

LOL.. man, I would love to get one of those on the track! Has he ever taken it out for some track time?

They are beautiful cars. A couple of years ago, one of the TT's was invited to participate in a tuner shoot out in Detroit....Heffner, Hennessey, Linkenfelter and Saleen. Suprisingly, the S7 could barely do 200mph. And it took taping up all those "gills" and 3 times the runway to do it..compared to the other cars. Something about the sound of a Ford motor coming out of that exotic body...just isn't right.

That was its main purpose. He went to MSR often.

My car is far from exotic...more like modern day muscle. Besides, exotics are slow.

The viper is pretty exotic but I guess you're right, there is a difference between a supercar and an exotic.

Yeah, those F50GTs, Koenigsegg CCXs, F1 LMs are all just too slow. Glad I went with a lightning quick Vette.

Vipers are not muscle cars.

What makes you say a Viper isn't a muscle car? Originally it was a stripped down high horsepower car. Very much like a muscle car.

Saw a white one today over at Crescent. I didn't see it run, but it was parked alongside an Enzo, 2 Carrerra GTs and an F40.

Exotics are slow, Gallardo, F430, Aston's... Supercars are fast, SSC Aero, Bugatti, F1, Koenigsegg..

Viper, not a muscle car?? No traction control, no abs, Huge displacement 8.2L V10 and it comes from Detroit.... That sounds like the recipe for a bonifide modern day muscle car..

Yes. The Viper is thing closest thing to 60's-70's muscle we have today. And if the Viper brand goes away (I hope so) it will start appreciating like them to.

I think there's some others that have similarities to muscle cars as well.
