I wanted to do this last year, but didn't quite have the funds. After the past few times I've washed my car, I've noticed a lot more chips in the paint, and not just in the front bumper. As owners, I'm sure you know how it feels to see some imperfections that should be avoidable; it turns my stomach. :( It doesn't help that I do to want to get a clear bra installed as well to minimize any more.

So, I'm wondering who is the recommended company for this kind of job. I should explain that I don't just want the chips fixed, that I would like the entire car to be looked at by a professional & then let me know just how many dings, scratches, etc. he/she sees. I don't want to ask them solely to fix everything (seems to be asking a lot), but just enough to correct most of the spots; I'll take the car to whomever else specializes in other problem areas.

I also admit that I'm not entirely sure how much it would cost, but I am willing to give whomever it is that can help the cost for an estimate. I'm guessing in the $400+ range, but feel free to correct me. The only company I've heard on here is Detail Werkz, but I don't know if he goes as far to fix some of the other paint spots (I can provide some pictures to show). If he can, even better.

I appreciate any & all suggestions/comments.
Rick.

I havn't been in town long enough to have a go-to guy for the paint chips, sorry. I knew the perfect lady in Colorado that used an air-brush & did great work!

Anyways, once you do get it touched up, I can help you on the clear bra end of things.:top:

We have a Vendor that stops by Autoscope - Park Cities every morning around 10am to give estimates and take care of client cars for us.

He uses air brush, special touch up brushes, etc as well..

You might stop by and let him take a look.

Most I have ever seen him charge for an entire car of touch up's was $300.00

Drop me a line if you want,

Steve

Thanks Steve. If you're at C&C tomorrow, I'd like to try & setup a good time next week to stop by. If not, I send you a notice. :)

Sounds like Steve's guy is a good value and worth checking out. I do have someone I refer people to for paint chips and deep scratches, but I doubt he will be less than $300 unless it's not as much work as your description sounds to me.

As far as getting the overall paint in top shape after the touch up work, or if you want someone to look at it and give you an opinion, I think I know someone who does great detailing and paint correction work...
