As far as we can tell, John Hennessey and his crew have somehow warped time and space to create the 36-hour workday. With all the products the Texas-based tuner is coming out with, there's no other explanation. So in addition to creating the 705-hp Corvette ZR700 (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/29/hennessey-unveils-705-hp-corvette-zr700-upgrade/), 715-hp GTR700 (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/08/video-hennessey-gtr700-rips-2-8s-0-60-with-launch-control-off/) and a duo of force-fed (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/01/562-hp-hennessey-camaro-hpe550-is-the-z28-that-never-was/) Camaros (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/08/hennessey-hpe700-*******-love-child-of-camaro-ss-and-corvette-z/), Hennessey has decided to tackle the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V (http://www.autoblog.com/tag/2009CadillacCTSV/) - and in the process created a four-door ZR1.

The team is releasing four complete packages for Caddy's M5-fighter, ranging from a 610 hp version all the way to a twin-turbocharged 800 hp variant. You can check out each package, including horsepower, torque, mods and performance times, along with corresponding videos, after the jump. And we've also got a gallery of the fire-breathing CTS-V below.

I like the sound of the SC in the car now but you wouldn't be able to hear it over that exhaust. I am not going to jack with the Caddy that much. I may swap the pulley... if it's needed.

It most definitely needed.. no question about it! ;)

c'mon Mark step up - you will change your mind when you see my new E55 rear bumper, slightly different from the M3 bumper. :)

Nah, Mark is going to leave the Caddy minimally modded. He's just going to put that 4l Whipple on the GT and show that HPF car the rear end of a Ford!!!:D

I have some new mods planned. It will take more than a little whip cream to beat my ///M3. :bandit:

I don't think the rear view mirror mod will help you on the top end.

Here is a picture of Scott's new engine mods:

at the end of the day its still a caddy, with caddy heritage behind it, or lack of for better terms.

Lack of heritage still puts a serious spanking on an M5..:D Straight line or corners... Caddy has all the M's beat... Eat your heart out Europe!! GM's killing everything across the pond right now at a fraction of the price..

O.K, I'll get off my soapbox now.. just proud of GM when they actually decide to put their heart into something!

Took them long enough, the current M5 is now over 5 years old and has been a target for almost the whole time. The M5 comes available with a manual 6 speed - does the caddy? any 4 door sedan U.S. made car available with a manual? maybe....

Please don't get me wrong. I am very happy GM has done this! It is terrific. I am not as pleased with the external styling of the CTS, but all is not perfect.

If you take car to car across the GM line up against BMW's lineup, it is an interesting outcome. Just like we had to wake-up on U.S. quality against the Japaneses cars (as did BMW too!), now it is nice to see us wake-up on the over all performance of a 4 door sedan! I hope the U.S. car manufacturers don't stop there! ;)

Rather than bash other marquees... why not just stick to the reasons you like yours.

+1...talkin trash is great, but it's more fun when you sing the praises of your marque rather than put down another.

Except that it could be late in the game for GM. I mean nearly 50% of its dealerships to close. Not to say good things still won't come but it's looking ugly for GM. BMW has losses also, I don't think they are nearly as bad off as GM though.

so they have a le'man car, how many wins behind the le'man car?

doesnt mean anything to me if they arent producing, so what you are telling me is if i make a le'man car it will mean i have heritage behind it?

if GM had plans on making anything remotely decent, they can go ahead and forget it. we all know what happens when government intervenes. GM is practically subsidized now which equates to even less incentive to make a half decent car.

Sounds like your just a little butt-hurt because a Caddy is whomping the M5. Quit being a crybaby and deal with it.
