This was a bit of an unusual situation.

Customer buys this car from a local dealership online, & then finds my web page, & wants the car to get covered, before getting it shipped out of state.

Car was pretty dirty. I literally washed the front end 3 times in a row. Wash, rinse, wash, rinse, wash rinse & dry.

Since the dealership doesn't really care once the car is sold & the customer was out of state, I did a clay bar on the hood. It had a lot of crud on it, & turned my clay bar icky. One of the last pictures shows the gunk that hides between body panels that most people will never know exists, but that drives paint protection installers CRAZY, because no matter how many times the car is washed/cleaned, it still sneaks out & gets under the film while trying to install.

I also had a body shop make me up some matching paint to fix the gouge in the lower rocker, & touch up a number of poorly touched up chips in the bumper & hood.

The job came out good, but I guarantee if this had been a black car, I would have been :bawling: before it was done. As it was, I only whined a bit. :argh:

Great job as always! I can't help but think how disappointed this customer might have been if you hadn't taken care of the issues that the dealer should have!! 2 thumbs up. :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2:

I've been in close contact with the customer the whole time & that did make it easier to decide what was necessary to get the job done right.

Nice job Norm, you should have called me I would have cleaned the heck out of that car.... my private jet job had to cancel due to engine problems so I've pretty much been off this whole week twiddling my thumbs....

I figured you were still 2 months booked out! I didn't know this car was really dirty till I had it in my shop, needing to get paint protection film on it in a bit of a hurry, so that it could be shipped out to Cali, so I just scrubbed it as best I could.

No biggie, I was just messing with you, I still am booked out two months, but this week was a huge cancellation, but I still managed to squeeze a few cars in by the end of the week, so not a total waste.
