This was a bit of an unusual situation.
Customer buys this car from a local dealership online, & then finds my web page, & wants the car to get covered, before getting it shipped out of state.
Car was pretty dirty. I literally washed the front end 3 times in a row. Wash, rinse, wash, rinse, wash rinse & dry.
Since the dealership doesn't really care once the car is sold & the customer was out of state, I did a clay bar on the hood. It had a lot of crud on it, & turned my clay bar icky. One of the last pictures shows the gunk that hides between body panels that most people will never know exists, but that drives paint protection installers CRAZY, because no matter how many times the car is washed/cleaned, it still sneaks out & gets under the film while trying to install.
I also had a body shop make me up some matching paint to fix the gouge in the lower rocker, & touch up a number of poorly touched up chips in the bumper & hood.
The job came out good, but I guarantee if this had been a black car, I would have been :bawling: before it was done. As it was, I only whined a bit. :argh:
