On Sunday June 26, 2011 -

Seven-time Pikes Peak Hillclimb champion, Jeff Zwart, will take Porsche’s fastest road car ever up Pikes Peak in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, after driving the street-legal, 620 horsepower 911 GT2 RS 1132 miles from Porsche Motorsports North America in Santa Ana, California to the event.

I was able to see the Pike's Peak Hillclimb in person back in the early 90s. A lot of the course is paved now, but back then more of it was gravel. I'll never forget watching those monsters whipping around the hairpin bends.

I wonder what wheels he is using at the end on the Peak climb? Maybe BBS Motorsport wheels in 19"... they look awesome.

I'll never forget watching those monsters whipping around the hairpin bends.Yeah, it's the best live race IMO. I planted myself on a ridge around 12-13,000ft right at one of the pavement to gravel transitions in 2009. That article and photo gallery is what kicked off my website. I've got to go back.

Sweet teaser vid!

I couldn't help not noticing that they had a clear bra on the front of the hood (& presumably on the bumper). BUT, they used regular bra material on the matte finish hood, giving the front 1/2 of the hood a shiny look. Ewww. Too bad they didn't use matte film so it blended in.

When I lived in Colorado I should have tried to make a race or two, but it's like people living in Florida & not going to the beach. Take what you got local for granted, right?

This guy has bigger cajones than I have. Can't imagine taking a $275k car up a dirt road at speed.I'll never know cajones of that size. My cajones were only big enough to get the below shot once. After a few rocks hitting a $2k lens, my small cajones moved even more to the side.
