Found a cheap car.
I drove over 200 miles looking at cars with hail damage. (After specifically asking them if the car had any hail damage). Salvage titles. (After asking if it had a salvage title) and cars that were just about ready to be crushed for scrap metal. Several sellers were selling a car that did not have their name on the title. "Skipping title" I think it is referred to?
Absolutely NOBODY that we looked at their car had been truthful about the condition of the car.
While I might not volunteer some details about a car I sell, I certainly wouldn't lie to a buyer who asked me about anything specific about it. Most of these cars were trying to be sold at the Kelly Blue Book "Good" price for privately owned vehicles. Like I said, some of them were falling apart, & leaving big oil spills in their wake.
I ended up buying from a small use car dealer... Amazing when that is a safer bet than the over 8 or 9 vehicles that were "privately owned".
