Default In-car Camera

Just came accross this: http://vholdr.com/contourhd/features Takes high quality video (unlike that HeroCam thing), is small in size, and isn't too expensive... Anyone have any experience with it? (Apparently Amazon has a deal on these right now, too)

No experience but here's another option:
Chase cam

Try to get a set up that offers a remote mic. That way you can put the mic on the back of the car and you'll hear and see the laps. It's sooo much better than wind noise.

A good example

That Traqmate software is pretty slick too!
