Default SRT8 Jeep Cherokee

Anyone in the forum have one of those 6.1 liter Hemi Jeep Cherokee's from 2007-2010? The first gen models? Any compare/contrast between the 6.4 gen 2 models? They caught my eye recently... Appreciate any & all thoughts...

I think Luke (not sure his handle) may have had one when he first showed up to DFWAC, but I'm not sure what he's in or even up to nowadays. At the time he said he loved it. Looks like you'll have to be the expert on this one! haha

I raced one in my old CTS-V. It kicked my ass.

So, only had it since last Saturday 10/22, but I give my thoughts thus far... The SRT has Bilsteins, so the ride is very good, not too firm. There is a sport mode (same with the AMG) and it tightens the shift points and firms up the ride a bit more. I prefer driving is sport mode all the time actually. The infotainment system is top notch. Monitors/headset/remote for the back seat. Harmon Kardon audio (same as the AMG). But, the Connect system, is just super flexible/easy to use. Really like it. In doing some pre-buy research, sounds like this vehicle/chassis was actually designed by Daimler-Benz when they owned C/D/J. That explains a lot I guess. Interior is comfy, I was so/so on the color, kind of a light brown; they call is sepia. It's growing on me. Think I'd prefer black... perhaps the MY 16/17 red they are doing now, more of a burgundy. Exterior is sort of a steel-blue metallic. It has the intensity of a metal-flake almost. In the bright sun, it's almost overwhelming. It has some M+S Yoko's on it. They are noisy... Would like to have more traditional 'street' rubber on it - sounds like the tires are maybe scalloped/out of round. Other than that, dame nice vehicle so far...

looks great man! Were you on I-30E yesterday around 5:00-6:00? Saw an SRT like yours with paper tags showing the lovely traffic how to maneuver.

Looking good TomBoy. I will be interested to hear how your ownership experience is with the Jeep.
