I've been in one in California (in my home town) a few times. It's been fairly busy every time I've been there. If you walk up, you can order quickly, but it takes several minutes to get your food.

I drove by the Allen location today and it was still too busy to wait for fast food.

Some kids at my son's school had a great idea. They walked up to the next person in line to get served and told them "If you order our food with your's, we'll buy your food." Worked out perfectly for them. No wait and it cost them less than $20.

Just go to Heart Attack Grill. Burgers served by nurses and you get to ride on a wheelchair.

Oh, and if you're 350lbs+ you get your food for free.

The employees are "All Stars" from existing locations, so they are actually very fast. Local employees are doing training still.

I love Twisted Root. I'll have to check out Heart Attack. Has anyone been to Fat Ho Burgers in Waco?

In 'n Out is just where people go because McDonald's isn't cool anymore.

Here's a vid of the Allen opening day drive-through line.

Default Heart Attack Grill

They showed some footage on the new Dallas location and some of the food (Quadruple Bypass Burger) on TV news. Pretty much insane

But then, I never quite understood camping out in front of a store to save $300 on a big screen TV on Black friday either...

Yeah, I can't understand that either, the risk of being trampled to death (literally) at a store to save a couple bucks doesn't sound worth it

It's grilled onions, and thousand island I believe. I always get it. Some 'hidden' option thing, not on the menu.. Think that's all it has.. Likely can do a web search for the exact way it's prepped.

In 'N Out is good, but its not "wait three hours in line" good. I think i'll wait until all the hype dies down before I go.

.. but no doubt Animal Style is the way to go. For all of you guys who dont know or have never been before, there is an entire "secret menu" that you can order. Basically different way burgers and fries are prepared / topped. You can look up the menu online.

I had my first bite two days ago. My neighbor (Ex. Californian) came over with one. It was the "Animal style". I have to say...It reminded me of biting into a DQ burger. Similar taste. Oh well, I too, would not wait 3+ hours for one.
