In my case, my '84 MB. I'm not sure about new tint. I might run without for a bit and decide whether to reapply a very light tint....Since this is now somewhat vintage (I bought new), it looks a bit funky with the tint and I'd rather have a stock look.

See if David can do a clear tint. There are clear window films that block Heat and UV like a dark tint but they're clear. Best of both worlds for someone who doesn't want the dark tint look on a classic car. Makes your AC work better in the summer, protects your interior from sun damage/rot, and still looks stock.

Yes, I will want to put tint back on the old MG project. It's coming together and should be drivable pretty soon. The stuff on there now turning purple and needs to be changed.

Purple tint means the sun has baked out all of the UV inhibitors in the dye layer of the film. That means zero heat rejection and if it hasn't started to bubble yet it will soon. Take that MG in and get it stripped and retinted with the Wincos or the clear stuff if you don't want tint. Car looks like a nice project, I hate seeing cool cars with crappy tint lol

Tritek did my windows this week based on recommendations from this forums. I'm very happy with the quality of the work, but can't stand the window tint label and will probably be pulling the tint off my windows.

Yes, I know Texas law requires it but a simple discrete "Complies with TRC Chapter 547" would be better than a white "Tritek" on my window. I don't like being a rolling billboard for anyone.

I'd love the sharpie treatment, and it probably would have worker if I'd know before they tinted the windows. The problem is Tritek's label is applied between the glass and the tint. The only way to get to it now is to remove the tint.
