Some CP rep's came to a job fair at the CIA, but did not know anything about their Dallas location. She'd like to get more into Charcuterie, so may be a good fit. She's had front of the house & Kitchen experience for 6 years now, but for Externship wants to work in a fun kitchen environment where she can learn and polish her skills.

Any thoughts?
I can ask my friend over there if he knows anything. Not sure I can be of much help but it won't hurt.

I second The Grape as well. I landed my wife taking her there on our second date. GREAT place. Not ostentatious like many others listed here, also, not trendy.

Another vote for the Grape. Great place. Reasonably priced, and the Dubliner is next door.

As Jack said Mercy is great, we've dined there for years, but my choice would be "Abacus" or "Pappa's Bros" if you really want to go big... of course Sambuca is Great for live music and the food/wine list is decent...

Abacus is just a cool place all around, with great food/wine...

+1 on Abacus! Wife and I have been going there for years and love it.

I'm going to need to check out some of these other places too.

Celebration in Dallas is a great place to go and won't break the bank. I would recommend to ask for a table on the 'old side' as it's a bit more private than the open dining room.

This is a good spot for a laid back evening. By the bottle for under $30. You can order in pizza or dessert from nearby restaurants. Depending on the type of guy you are follow the wine with symphony tickets nearby, or a second bottle of wine. Both work, but the second bottle of wine is almost failproof.

If you go to anymore games shoot me a text and let me know. I'm literally doing nothing until the 21st, then I'm traveling for about 3 months.

I'm a HUGE fan of Villa-O off Knox/Henderson. Great Italian place with full organic menu and tons of quality wine to choose from. Great patio, great area, and sometimes you get to see some fancy rides pass by (first and only time I've seen a Veyron on the road).

Villa-O

Ended up at Mercy - what a fantastic joint. That won't be my last time there. Sat out on the patio and had a couple of spectacular bottles of Cabernet. Staff really knew their stuff. Thanks, Jack, for the recommendation!

Reckon I'll be headed to the Grape for the second date...

Abacus is absolutely amazing, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny...

A few other great places that are more reasonably priced with great wine menus are Taverna, Bolsa, or Neighborhood Services.

Necropost, I know, but, to the folks who suggested the Grape, well, y'all are just the best. Ended up there last weekend. Looks like I'll get a chance to visit the rest of the places in this thread with the girl after that date.
