Default Where are the Cigar/Scotch folks!?

Howdy y'all! Just joined the forum (intro is in the Welcome area). A few buddies and I meet up every Tuesday that I'm in town in the Grapevine area and smoke cigars, have a little Scotch (or your favorite beverage of choice), tell lies, talk cars, tracking, etc...gonna be out of town for the next few weeks but let me know if any of y'all are interested in meeting up!

Never have heard of D&B, will keep that in mind next time I'm at Smiley's. The shops I frequent are in Grapevine (Grapevine Cigar & Tobacco), Euless (Town & Country Cigars), Arlington (Tobacco Road) and the one I frequent the most...Habana House in Chicago (Rolling Meadows). In Chicago all the time for business, that shop/lounge is like a 2nd home! Will be there tomorrow night...

My little collection. Always keep a cigar or 12 in the humidor for a spontaneous scotch and cigar night.

I joined the Ft Worth Scotch Appreciation Group. They gather every Friday off West 7th. I haven't had the chance to head down there though! And this Friday will be gone for Thanksgiving.

Crack open that bottle of Macallan 18, it's definitely worth the extra $ over the 12 IMO.

The pic was the first night we opened it!

They're all considerably lower levels now lol
Lonach is very nice as well!

I had a Macallan 25 in Vegas last year... it made me join the bandwagon.

My favorites are the Balvenies, particularly the 14 year Carribean Cask and the 21 year Portwood. I also like the Glenlivet 15 year French Oak Reserve and 21 year. I typically prefer Highlands, although I do like some Islays from time to time.

My current collection...it changes as the bottles go empty (not sure why that keeps happening).

Hard to get a good pic with an iPhone

I'm particularly fond of Islays, but haven't tried the 18 year yet. I try to keep a bottle of Lagavulin 16 and/or Laphroaig Quarter Cask around. I have yet to try the Laphroaig Triple Wood which also looks interesting at an affordable price point.

The 18 is amazing, it posesses an almost eternal finish. I like the Quarter Cask and the Lagavulin as well. I went to Spec's the other night to pick up a few bottles of the 18 and found out they have been backordered/out of stock for several weeks...bought a bottle of the Bruichladdich (Laddy) 16 for me and the Laddy 10 for a buddy. Very enjoyable.
