Welcome!!!

ECR Open Track days is Saturday, April 16.

Regarding Corvette Clubs - I hear ya, as I'm "only" 45 and I feel "young" at a lot of the vette club gatherings....but remember, there are a few hardcore track/racer folks within the clubs. The connections I've made have been GREAT for both racing/track days. Just saying. YMMV.

great now! Put it on myself, came with a canned tune that was pretty good but I got it dynoed to check everything. Found that the filter was pushed too far into the intake tube robbing me about 30hp. Came with the wrong size belt at first. Too small. Then when I got the right belt i had to re tension the belt after install twice because I guess I didn't tighten it enough. Not a spring loaded tensioner. That's the only thing I would change in the design. Pulls like a freight train though. Intercooler is mounted horizontally so it doesn't broke the radiator to keep temps down.

Welcome, sweet Vette! What transmission does it have? Unfortunately won't make track night but I do get out to autoX's and events when I can. I try to give a heads up on here when I do; always more fun to have a crew. I'm not too far from you in University Park, hopeful to see the Vette out and about.

Its a 2015 Z51 (with Mag Ride) Corvette Stingray 2LT Manual 7 speed. Only mod is the procharger kit. Here's a good shot of how the intercooler is mounted. Was very weird to see it this way but I got used to it. It's a thick sonofagun

Man, those are impressive numbers for slapping on a pro-charger. The new vettes are pretty amazing; I bet that thing pulls like a freight train indeed. I ran a guy at the half-mile event in Sulphur Springs last year that had a Vortech on his, and that thing hauled the mail forrr suuurre. Any other plans for the near future, or just enjoying it like it is for a while?

And regarding your horizontally mounted inter-cooler, I mounted my upgraded heat-exchanger for the aftercooler in the Cobra the same way. Lays down right in front of the radiator behind the bottom part of the bumper.

Vortech? Probably an A&A kit, nearly identical to mine psi per psi.

No plans for the foreseeable future powerwise. I don't want methanol injection and to add any power over 600 rwhp basically requires it. I will be adding a breather/catch can system here soon since these engines love to blown front seals (should have had it from day 1 of procharger install but I am a procrastinator), and I will be most likely swapping my Michellin Pilot SS Runflats for R888s on my first tire change.

Believe it or not, my stock rotors feel warped from 10k miles and 2 track sessions. Braking fairly hard from ~120 mph is not smooth at all. After tomorrow's session I will probably need new pads (swap to better pads)

My wife's '14 C7 Z51 needed new pads pretty early on. Just a few K miles. Not too many track days. Rather disappointing compared to my previous '13 Z06.

If you plan to track Vette and not install a $6-8K big brake kit, then if you run reasonably hard you will find that stock cast iron rotors and even calipers are merely consumables. I used to keep an inventory of the stock rotors that I would buy off others at the track when they upgraded to big brakes or newer cars and rebuild calipers 2X per season. Install front brake cooling ducts, LG spindle adapters, stn stl brake lines and try some Carbotech pads and Motul brake fluid and flush brakes before every session, make sure that you flush anti-lock brake module as well and have FUN!

Here is my fastest lap. Pedal travel was a little longer than usual but they were still biting hard. I expected much worse. Don't think I actually felt fade. I didn't even change to DOT4 cause the track is easy on the brakes. Z51 already comes with some pretty large calipers up front. I am swapping to carbotech pads, stick to DOT4 and I should be fine. Already have cooling ducts, could stick the cooling rings on there too.

But yep, I plan on flush, new pads, new tires before next session. This is why I have a DD

Nice vid! Thanks for posting. New tires will be huge! You might also flush clutch is you have not done so recently. It gets dirty quickly and there are many stories of it sinking to the floor and not returning in a timely fashion

You can literally destroy the Z51 brakes in a day at ECR....just saying - my '13 Z06 held up like a champ though, didn't even have to bother with those cheezy/afterthought "cooling rings." Yeah, MSR is much easier on them.
