Merry Xmas from Napa. These didn't meet the $30/bottle criteria though...

McPherson's sangiovese for a red.
Dr. Burklin Wolf's riesling for a white.

I have been drinking "E" from Orin Swift. It is for Espanol. It is a Spanish wine. Very good with about anything, even alone. They also make F and I. They have high end wines like Prisoner and Papillion but they aren't $30.

Black Stallion Cab is really good, especially for ~$20-something at Kroger. Had it last night with my rendition of a cheese board (swiss, parmesan, habanero ham, capricola and red grapes)...I think I had too much cheese though...woke up at 5 am on the couch LOL! This was the first winery my wife and I visited in Cali. Still have a bottle of their older vintage cab...will open it someday...

For dessert wine, hit a Michelle Chiarlo Nivole in 2007 or 2011 or a Sandeman Founder Reserve Porto

I'll start by suggesting Round Pond Cab.

I like the E-2 by Phinney. $18 and a solid RP 93

Château St. Michelle Harvest Riesling is pretty tasty for $8 pretty much anywhere, obviously my tastes are on the sweet side though

I mostly drink a little more complex and pricier wines, but I'm always impressed with Tait Ball Buster Shiraz. It is phenomenal and sometimes you can find it for $15.

Lately I've become a sucker for Michael David Winery....namely:

-Freakshow
-7 Deadly Zines
-Petite Petit
-Earthquake (the Zin, Cab, etc)

costco was carrying Elizabeth Spencer Special Cuvee 2012 last week for $28. That is a steal. retails usually for $55 and is a fantastic cab.
