Default Added to the Arsenal

Really didn't plan on this but I went to the gun show on Sunday and walked out with a new toy.
Went in to just look and pick up some sights/grips for my handgun and ended up with a Keltec Sub 2000. Its a folding 9mm carbine that is very hard to find for the right price. Demand and limited production has skyrocketed the MSRP and resale of this gun so I crossed it off my wish list awhile ago.
Luckily, this was the right deal.

Paired up with my W. German P226

Cant wait to see how it shoots, up next is a quad rail forend with a Reflex sight

Nice! ^^

Love FPS Russia, that's where I first saw this thing.

Finally got to go to the range, its groups very well. Im not too keen on its iron sights, but that will change soon.
Oh yeah, and Fubar has some killer Sigs.

Added some things, I think she's finished now. At least it doesn't look like a Lego gun anymore.

You worried about losing your zero with dismounting the optic every time?

I was concerned until I read how many people use quick disconnect mounts in this type of set up. The QD on this optic is rock solid and combined with a rail ladder on top (to make sure it's in the same position every time), I should be good to go.

^ Nice! I'm itching to get my first gun....just don't know what I want. I think I want a hand gun and a good home defender (ie: shotgun)

I just got my stripped lower receiver this week. Out of curiosity, what was your total cost to build?

edit: Where in the hell did you find that magazine?

I'd definitely pick up a handgun. Shotguns are so reasonable that you could pick one of those up as well. I have a Remmy 870 which is great.

Just a few to keep me out of trouble.

Total cost without the optic was around $950. I paid $40 worth of inflation which is very acceptable (+20 for lower parts kit, +20 for upper receiver). Right now there are AR's that are built similarly selling for $2K+.

A few things. I may eventually build that second lower into a pistol AR so I can attach an 8-10" barrel to use for home defense. Im out of money for now though.

Have you had a chance to put many rounds through this carbine yet? I was looking at these but the reviews on the web have a lot of negatives about Keltec quality in general and the Sub 2000 in particular. Just wondering what your experience has been?
