Kobe had no help this series. They would have done better much better with Odom. Bynum is a quitter, he looked as if he did not even want to be there, but that is not surprising, he is an idiot. The Thunder bigs shut down Gasol. No answer for Hardin. Lakers have 0 transition defense. Laker organization has a lot of work to do.

Well it wasn't a sweep but both LA teams are out of it, glad to see that. Between the Clippers and the Lakers they had a 1-7 record in the Western Semis, pretty pathetic.

As a Spurs fan I am very excited to see the Western Finals against OKC, should be a good one.

Spurs vs. Thunder series will be epic. Spurs ability to change their style of play is incredible. That said, I don't think anyone in the league can guard Westbrook, and who from the Spurs is going to guard (effectively) Durant? I got Thunder in 6.

Westbrook is the exception to the rule so I have no answer there, but with the Spurs ability to control tempo and pass "surgically without scrubs" as Charles would say, I see OKC struggling when it's bench on bench play. I don't know who will win this series, obviously I am pulling for my Spurs, but I see a 7 game beat down coming.

Regardless of whoever wins the West I don't see a team out of the East being able to beat either one of the these teams in the Finals.

I don't follow the Spurs, but i am sure their bench is better than the Lakers. Lakers bench was outscored by Thunder bench by 2.5-3x, haha. I think it will be the most entertaining series in some time.

The question is, who will come out of the East??? Heat are so volatile, as are the Celts. The young cats are taking it to them.

Really did hurt to see the Lakers lose the series. I think if the Lakers had better defense and shot selection during the final minutes of game 4, they would have had a fighting chance in the series. Instead, the Lakers face a long and uncertain offseason. Who sees some of the current Laker players in other uniforms next year?

#IdTradeGasolFor was trending on Twitter this morning. I put Jackie Moon.

I don't know if they would trade Gasol, they love him too much.

Kobe's pretty much placed nearly all the blame on him. I can't see him returning next year.

OKC has said that they will definitely have to change up their game plan as they fully expect Parker to cover Westbrook & Manu to be on Hardin. They went on to say San Antonio is a very strong pick & roll team, and is full of shooters.

As strong as the OKC team is, I think the experience & flawless basketball that the Spurs possess will be give them the edge. I honestly see the Spurs in 6; the team just clicks on all cylinders & have a 2-1 regular season against OKC (1 away, 1 home win; Manu sat out all 3 as well).

Regarding the East, if it's Miami, OKC will have an up hill battle if LeBron, Wade, & possibly Bosh stay consistent with their games. Wade & James can match/beat any numbers Durant/Westbrook put up, & they are just as strong to the basket as OKC. If it's the Spurs, I think they'll be alright if they manage to get by OKC.

This is how I see the NBA Finals unfolding. The Thunder will represent the west, and the Heat will represent the east.

Game 1 - Close fought game, but OKC wins. 1-0 OKC.
Game 2 - Close fought game, but Miami wins. 1-1.
Game 3 - OKC blows out Miami. 2-1 OKC.
Game 4 - Miami plays great defense and has their offense firing on all cylinders. 2-2.
Game 5 - OKC is the favorite early, but Miami comes back. 3-2 Miami.
Game 6 - Miami is on the verge of winning a championship. With 2.2 seconds left in the game with the Thunder trailing by 3, Durant hits a tying 3. In OT, same scenario, only it's Westbrook who hits the 3. In 2OT, OKC prevails. 3-3.
Game 7 - Miami starts out great early, but OKC gets the upper hand and wins the fight. 4-3 OKC.

If someone recognizes what championship series this is based off of, you get a cookie.

Don't count out my C's too early this year. They have the rythm and fire right now. Lebron and company are certified choke artists in big games.

Not counting them out. I think the ECF will be a bit less exciting than the WCF, but still a great series. As for who will win...I honestly think it's a toss up. Can't make a decision yet.

Thunder vs Heat. This is going to be a great series.

Though, alot of us know all too well what happens when a sports team goes to the championship round two years in a row...

They lose both times?

I had called the finals earlier in this thread as OKC v Indiana with OKC winning. The Heat struggled with Indiana and the Celtics too much to be able to beat the Thunder. Their lack of a point guard, center, and coach will be more obvious in the finals. Heat lose again.
