Default Can Rory Save Golf

I think if he wins this weekend, he has a shot. Tiger appears done, and frankly, no one cares about Phil unless he is taking on Tiger. If Rory comes on strong, he may move golf to the next era. It clearly is in a dead zone.

It will be a few decades, imho, before someone like Tiger comes around again. Rory, Dustin, Grame, Ricky, etc are all good, but they aren't DOMINATE like tiger, palmer, and jack. I hope Tiger gets his swagger back for a few more years and takes his major count to 20!

Are you not watching this. The kid damn near won the Masters, then collapsed. He is roaring back. He is treating the US Open this year like Tiger did the Masters in 2001 (leading by 10 at the moment) . It is early, but it has the look of that already! He is only 22!

Watch...I hope he has another final round meltdown.
Something Tiger or Happy Gilmore would never do.

So true.

There's a reason the Hospitality Tent is the best place to be while the Byron is going on.

I've been to the Byron twice and I don't think I've every seen any golf

Kind of impossible to say there isn't someone that will be dominant coming this decade, could be some 16 year old "Tiger Junior" that we don't know about yet waiting to pounce, I'm hopeful Tiger gets back to dominating for another 10 years too but I don't know. I think it's only fun to watch when someone is dominating and not just a crap shoot between the players you named. That's one thing I like about Tennis right now, got 3 dominators right now just wish America would produce another top 5 tennis player.

I know the feeling. I haven't been to the Tent in about 18 years, however.

Seeing another final round meltdown by Rory would be worth the price of admission. What happened to Stricker? I thought he was going to bring golf back.

+1! Even if Rory wins by 15 this tournament, he isn't bringing Tiger back. The only person that will bring that kind of excitement to the game of golf, in our life time, will be Tiger

Actually, one golfer that I feel could bring the game of golf to the Tiger level if he could dominate is John Daly. The old rags to riches story always works well for viewers.

He's closer to Happy Gilmore than Tiger however.

Golf and Nascar are done. The people that run that stuff drove the sport in the ground for money and didn't realize they were doing it. Don't they each have about 7000 events a year?

Tiger just needs to back to doing hookers and blow.
When he gave that up, his game went in the toilet.

LOL. I was just thinking the same thing. We get good pics floating on the internet as well. But, I think it was the 9 iron to the skull that made his game visit the sh*tter.

Tiger was just another in a long list. The mantle will be passed. Who will take it it yet to be seen but if rory holds on And wins big he will have thrown his hat in the ring in a big way!
