POF? If this was a 40 year old car that was american I'm sure you wouldn't be saying the same thing. Just because you aren't interested in a 25 year old import doesn't mean other people aren't. Hell the NSX got it's start 22 years ago, and those cars are cool as hell. People have different passions, not everyone has the money laying around to throw at 5 or even 10 year old cars. When it comes down to it, be it a 1 day old or a 100 year old car I still will find it cool and interesting if the car deserves it.

Addendum: Sometimes it's more fun to fix up an old car considering they aren't piss poor in the performance department like a lot of new cars are.

Not in the least. Its too much fun to **** talk, trust me I do it on a regular basis, though it's more friendly. I'm simply stating my position on why older cars can be interesting. No point in buying a 2005 350z pos that makes near no power and is heavy as ****. When for the same price you could have a much more interesting car. While I would love to drop a metric-asstonne(super scientific right there) of money on the latest and greatest cars, that simply isn't an option in the middle of college. Plus I enjoy older cars. I had an older 280zx turbo and loved the hell out of it, it was the definition of a POS.Bbut myself and my brother both agree, even though it only ever ran for 2 hours tops, it was the most fun we've ever had working on a car.

Sorry if I am getting long winded in my responses, I guess if you want to get down to the heart of the matter I'm a bit of a car nut and will get my fix even if it is a 1000$ car with an 800$ engine.

Well, since the turbo is aftermarket, that opens up all kinds of opportunities. A 25 year old Asian car that is fun that didn't come with a turbo stock. Hmmmm....I would hope you wouldn't find a FWD car fun, so not sure of any good 25 year old NA RWD Asian cars....

MR2? AE86 Toyota (I think is the name)?

Otherwise, I got nothing.

Well to those of you that said supra, I owe you a beer. It's been sitting awhile and needs a wash but the paint seems to be in great condition. It may very well just have a blown headgasket, I'm going to throw some new gas into it and try to start it up within the next couple of weeks if it doesn't have rod knock I will be able to just swap the headgasket out with a metal one and be good to go.

still has the functional TEMS system too

Also the new engine, which will be here around october or november, has an aftermarket turbo, downpipe, hg, wireset and mkiv injectors in it, so if this engine does end up being useless the I will have it running in a few months at the latest. Either way I'm ecstatic to tear into it.

It looks like you're in for a lot of work, but it should be a fun project.

Thank you, I have looked through most of the car and have not found a single thing you would describe as a rats nest, or any type of rodent infestation. The only thing that makes it look dirty at the moment, is some pine needles that dropped on the top of it. After a good cleaning and some vacuuming it should look good as new.

But, I guess
