LumTecs are awesome, great watch for the price I think....they have a nice PVD coating on their pieces as well. Wait until you see that thing at night, one of the nicest I've seen.

If at deBoulle, ask for Jeff Bartley, the GM. He's a vintage Porsche buddy of mine. Denis (Boule) is a great guy also but he stays pretty busy. Denis comes to some of the car meets in his Ferrari that is usually parked outside. He also does a bit of racing.

Honestly, I was expecting that thing to keep me up at night. I mean the brand is called LUM tec. I was completely underwhelmed. The luminescence was average at best. The watch felt like a solid piece and the design was cool. Perhaps I was expecting to much.

The Brera I picked up from Hollywood is cool. It's gets attention and the design is different. The locking side rail is completely pointless but it adds a certain Je ne sais quoi.

I wont buy another watch without going by and talking to Dan at timelesswatchexchange.com He has got me some good deals and shown me some stuff that I really like. On top of that, he is wanting to mod his BMW 335.

You seem pretty connected in the driving world, Denis is a great guy...his new 458 is awesome. They run a great business for sure, I would go to there for all my jewelry needs.

Interesting, I have not seen the exact model you ordered in person but the ones I've seen were pretty bright. My baseline is an older Rolex Sub so maybe I dont know what brightness really is.

Box, Papers and you rarely see others wearing them...due to its size...48mm.

Brera is a good entry level watch. My buddy has the Supersportivo, I thought it was Ademars Piguet at first glance. Pretty inexpensive for what they are.

Hamilton and Oris also have some decent entry level pieces.

Mark,
If you're chasing some sick lume, check out BALL. I just picked one up and it is AWESOME!
Dan at timeless is now a BALL authorized dealer also...

He has been trying to sell me one of those things for months. They have magic ‘gas tubes’ that incorporate alien technology and mystic power to glow for 27 years without any external light input.

All I could do was laugh. It’s looks good in the picture.

at Brera being "entry level".
I guess that makes Seiko, Citizen, etc....poverty level ?
And anyone who mistakes that Brera for an AP...is funny funny funny.

Yeah, the tritium tubes are badass. The vast majority of their watches use them.

Anybody else noticed that watch-wearing is dying out? Everyone just looks at their phones now.

The Supersportivo shape resembles a Royal Oak from a distance. Have you actually seen one? Brera is a very nice watch. I wasn't implying it was cheap or below what a good watch is by saying it's "entry level". I was just saying for the money you get a lot of watch.

Yes.
The simple fact that the Brera is 48mm vs. the AP RO being 42mm is an easy "tell". May as well throw in the Hublot BB too.
Saying that an 80's era 39mm Datejust resembles a 43mm DSSD is less of stretch.

AP RO come in 44mm as well as 42mm, and the Brera Supersportivo is 43mm as well as 48mm.

1mm delta.

The Hublot has a very obvious case protrusion on the left side, a little easier to spot IMO.

For you big timers there may still be time to bid on the watch collection of Ponzi man Scott Rothstein, courtesy of the US Treasury: http://www.treasury.gov/auctions/tre...l_watches.html

Sample (AP):

I am ballin on a budget... http://www.chronoshark.com - watch deal a day site - typically $30-$500 - but most all are in "fashion".
