Default Rolex 2nd hand dealer

Good day gents, I was wanting to know if anyone on the board can recommend a good 2nd hand Rolex dealer. I have a friend looking to purchase a watch in the coming weeks. We visited Dallas Watch and Jewelry off of Midway and 635, they had a decent inventory but the prices were a bit on the high side for the model he was looking at. Any suggestions would be great!

Thank you in advance.

Send Fubar a PM if he does respond pretty soon. There a guy in Frisco (at the Shops at Starwood) that he's said good things about. You should find some info with a site search.

These two guy's are both very solid..not local though. PM or call me if any detailed questions. Local is a bit tougher, but not impossible. Stay away from "modified" Rolexes...

Try these folks.... They seem to have some odd terms to do business, but have a lot available...

Ralph, I'd suggest Henry Kostman - http://www.diamonds-watches.com/. I've known Henry over 25 years and know that he is highly knowledgeable and reputable. Feel free to mention me if you get in touch w/him.

you may check with Dallas Gold & Silver Exchange. Not sure how competitive they are but have a decent inventory of pre owned Rolex's

We went by Dallas G&S Scott and they were on the high end. One thing I noticed is that most of their watches did not include all of the links. The one watch my friend liked needed two links added and of course they wanted to charge him per link.

I actually found a guy from one of the car forums and rolex forums I have known for a while. He has a really nice piece at a smoking price, now I just need to convince my friend he is a trusted source and will get what he pays for.

Thanks to all who have provided input. The only down side is with all this looking, it has made me want a new watch! See what the law will allow me to spend! Thanks again!

Got it... Knew they had a strange way of doing business. Think they were working on a viewing room at one point. IMO, though, it would be worth a plane ticket/25K AA miles to see what Saint Blanc/General War has in stock/available. Small price to pay when you are saving thousands potentially... Good luck-
